#5OnMyTBR – 5 Heartwarming Books

Hullo, everyone! This is my first time participating in this meme and I’m happy to join, it took me a while to finally do it 🥺

#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @LocalBeeHunter’sNook and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR.

And this week’s prompt is Heartwarming Books!

Loveless by Alice Oseman

This is actually a new addition to my TBR, recently read Heartstopper by Alice Oseman and it was so beautiful. This book deals with aromance and asexuality and after seeing her great representation in Heartstopper I can’t wait to read this.

All Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens throughout the Ages by several authors

Another Queer read ❤️ This is a collection of stories by several authors. I’ve had this book on my shelf since it was released (I preordered it) and I have not read it yet!! I haven’t even read reviews of it but I read that it was going to get a second version? Different cover? Not really sure… Maybe I’ll get to it this June for Pride Month.

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell

I love me some good friends to lovers and I’ve heard Pumpkinheads is just perfect. I’ve flipped throught it at the bookstore but have not read it, soon I will get my hands on it and finally rejoice in the cuteness ❤️

Leah on the Off Beat by Becky Albertalli

It’s been a while since I reas Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, but I devoured that book in a day and Leah is one of the characters I loved because she was a believable character and I could relate to how she was feeling. So I was happy when my friend told me there was a book about Leah and I really hope I can read it sometime soon. There is boind to be some angst here, but I also expect supportive a parent and friends.

Other Words for Home by Jasmine Warga

A story about adapting and fitting in in a completely new environment, meeting new people and dealing with the labels others bestow upon us; this books is bound to both crush me emotionally as well as restore my Faith in humanity. Or so I hope.

And those are the 5 books on my TBR that I see as heartwarming, there were more Queer books than I expected but I am happy all the same. I had fun with this meme so you can expect to see more posts on Monday from now on!

Don’t forget to check out the announcement post and the prompts if you want to join in 🐱

  1. These are great books! I don’t have a lot of heartwarming books on my tbr, but i’m planning to get more diverse with my reads so I’ll be reading some romance books soon. I read Other Words For Home in January and devoured it in a month, hopefully you’ll like it as much as I did! 💙
